Utah’s Energy Resources
We are an extremely diverse energy state with abundant natural resources to produce clean, sustainable and valuable energy

Clean Utah Coal
Utah produces some of the best coal available worldwide. It is shipped all over the world. We are moving from burning coal to using coal as the next generation of CLEAN ENERGY. It will be the USA’s #1 source for Hydrogen and will be converted with no negative environmental emissions.

Viability of Coal Fired Power Generation
Everyone from the Biden Administration to the Sierra Club has said that Coal can no longer be used as a fuel source because of the negative environmental impacts. Still others, like California, which currently buys significant energy from Utah sources, say we must transition away from coal to more “clean” energy sources.
All of this is premature and promoted by those who will benefit from the transition. The State of Utah commissioned a study to get to the bottom of these questions for Utah. The truth, couldn’t be more different.
Presentation to Utah Legislature
On November 15, 2023, Michael J. Nasi of Jackson Walker presented his findings on the viability of utilizing the IPP Power Plant in Delta, UT today and in the future.
Not only is there a clear path forward to save the thousands of jobs impacted by the closure of the amazing Utah resource, but it could represent a significant opportunity for the future transition to True Clean Coal Power Generation.
Saving The Intermountain Power Project
Forces outside of Utah are attempting to compel the complete closure and demolition of a critical power generation asset that will never be replaced because of political and false environmental agendas. Today we are at the tipping point. If this asset is destroyed, the rest will follow and we will no longer produce significant base load power in Utah. Which will mean massively higher prices, outside forces that dictate Utah’s future and a irreversible destruction of Utah’s Coal Industry.
In case you are worried — saving the existing IPP Power Plant will not endanger the New IPP 2.0 Renewed project. It does save jobs, tax revenue and the families of Millard County.
Utah Legislature Requires Audit of IPA in 2023
Why did the Utah Legislature request an audit of the Intermountain Power Agency: “The Legislative Audit Subcommittee requested an audit of the Intermountain Power Agency (IPA), the purpose of which is to ensure efficient and effective operations and protection of Utah residents and resources. This is the first state-level review of IPA since its creation in 1977.”
Our Goals
Ensuring Utah will be a place to work, succeed and raise families far into the future.
Preserve utah Energy INDEPENDANCE
We must act to preserve Utah’s Energy Independence and current energy production at the 2024 Legislative Session or it will permanently lost
Support Legislature and Governor
We need to encourage every effort by the Legislature and Governor Cox’s office to preserve Utah’s Energy Sector at the 2024 Legislative Session by showing them our support
Build Unstoppable coalition
We Must build a coalition of Industry, Government, and Citizens to support the legislature’s efforts to save Utah’s Energy Independence
SAVE IPP 1.o
We will save the current IPP Coal Fired Power Generation units as a strategic asset for Utah and the country
We need your help
At the upcoming legislative session, our Utah State Representatives will vote to support Utah’s future by ensuring widespread and diverse energy availability through all of Utah’s natural energy resources or they will destroy thousands of Utah jobs today, many more thousands tomorrow, and make Utah beholden to energy derived from sources outside of the state at prices we will have little to no ability to impact. Our future growth as a State is literal at stake.
